Animation:
Refers to the process by which each frame of a movie is produced individually and can be generated either by computer graphics or objects drawn or photographed images. When the frames are connected together and the resulting film is viewed at a speed of 16 frames per second or more, there is an illusion of continuous movement (due to the persistence of vision).
In computer graphics, the animation is mainly to control the movement of the camera and computer models. It is a kind of optical illusion, and involves the appearance of motion caused by displaying still images one after the other. Often, animation is used for entertainment purposes. Besides its use for entertainment, animation is considered an art form and is presented and celebrated at film festivals around the world. Also used for educational purposes, animation has a place in education and instructional applications as well.
Animatic:
It is a mix of computer graphics, illustration, vector animation and compositing, set up to illustrate a TV commercial before being filmed. As the results are very faithful to the ultimate goal of business, the chances of making mistakes and having to redo the production and filming is greatly reduced. For this reason the animatic is an investment that pays for the finalization of the commercial economy. On the other hand the animatic necessarily need a video equipment to be viewed, unlike a storyboard which can be seen anyway, it is usually mounted on boards for presentation. The difference between the storyboard and animatic, in addition to cost and schedule, less for making a storyboard, the animatic is that, music and voices can be inserted along with the images, giving a better sense of the duration of filming. This innovative technique to carry out business, it is possible to see the final assembly before production begins. In a film, animation or a game there is always an artist responsible for the storyboard and the animatic.
